bandwagon of low-cost 4G phones. Just a while ago, it was reported that Bharti Airtel will soon release its own affordable 4G smartphone in the market. Yet, another big name seems to have set its target in the vast uncharted market of feature mobile with 4G VoLTE capabilities. Based on a report in The Economic Times, HMD Global may soon join the 4G feature device segment in India. HMD Global is a Finnish company which now produce phones under the Nokia brand.

Nokia getting a 4G feature phone in the market can be a huge move, since the company has been well known for its features phones. Before the smartphone boom, especially after Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone, Nokia was arguably the most credible mobile maker. Nokia used and very popular in India because if its rugged and affordable devices. However, Nokia’s brand value in the feature phone segment did not assist much with its Nokia 3310. Also the cellular country complaints still getting good about this.

The 4G VoLTE feature phone market is high demand, as the target audience is the people who cannot afford a smartphone. Today, many companies are getting in line with the VoLTE services in the country, especially after the release of Reliance Jio, surely seems to be a good news for the average users. It will be much more interesting to see how Nokia will go about the network facilities on its mobiles, as most of the service providers seem to be working towards making their own 4G feature phones.
