Samsung Updates for J series

Samsung just updated its J series line of low-cost handsets to more closely resemble the past released Galaxy S8. The J3 that was released in the U.S. on AT&T for $179 featuring a 5inch HD display,2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, Exynos 7570 quad-core 1.4 GHz processor and a 2400mAh battery.

The Samsung J5 and J7 are both comes with HD Super AMOLED displays, with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD, 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 13MP for front and back cameras.

The J7 is fitted with 3GB RAM compared to 2GB in the J5 and all the three devices run Android Nougat. The J5 series will be offered in Europe while the J7 will hit the European shelves this July for €339.

All the J series will be available in black or gold when they ship.

LG V10 now have Android 7.0 Nougat

The LG V10 users have something to cheer regarding their handset because not their
getting the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update in the company’s home country.

For now, there are no words about the availability date for the new OS in the country, however, it might be released for other regions this coming week.

The new update bumps the software to version v30 and also gets LG’s newest UX 5.0+ along with it. Unfortunately, the newest update is only available for the carrier branded versions with model number F600L, F600K, F600S in the country.

The stock operating system can also be downloaded from the company website and hoping the Korean company will also commence OTA update for the unlocked version.

iPhone 7 Explodes

The iPhone 7 set the newest record for smartphone exploding to happened in China, based on the employee of an Apple Store, the battery might be responsible. A young woman found her iPhone 7 black matted completely carbonized while it was plug charging.


After placing the device on the night table, Yin left to aerate, however, when she came back, she found her device completely destroyed. Based on the Apple Store employee where Yin visited, the explosion of the iPhone 7 might be connected to the battery. Fortunately, no one was injured, and Yin gets a new Apple smartphone.

LG Stylus 3 Cheap yet Elegant

Just like other affordable smartphone, LG has revealed five new handsets ahead of the
CES. LG company describes them all as mid-range devices, yet the specs sheets recommend that some types are closer to entry-level. LG Stylus 3 is one of the few trendy handset that will ship with a stylus. The stylus as a capacitive stick that you can use to draw or write, it’s not a pressured sensitive pen like the one in Galaxy Note.

The LG Stylus 3 is as the label suggests the third phone in the series. It follows the LG Stylo from early 2015 and the LG Stylus 2, which released less than a year later.

The LG Stylus 3 features a 5.7inch, 1280x720 display, MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Furthermore, the LG Stylus 3 has 13MP main camera and 8MP front facing clear for video chat and selfies, Android 7.0 operating system. Also, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, FM Radio and a 3200mAh removable battery.

Complaints about iPhone in China

Based to the CCA or the China Consumers Association, an raising number of clients requests are rising for an investigation of iPhone – especially the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models. This comes right after a number of complaints that the handsets turning off and never again turn on. Although no certain figure available on the complaints, CCA mentioned it is a significant number.

Aside from the on and off issues, iPhone users are experiencing a sudden turning off of their device despite showing a charge battery of 50 to 60 percent. The device also been reported to turning off spontaneously in cold conditions.

New Samsung Processor - MediaTek

There were rumors that Samsung and Taiwanese chip and the processor producer MediaTek were in discussion with each other over the supply of processor. MediaTek has now verified that Samsung has become a client. This indicates that Samsung alone halts with the development and manufacturing of cheap processor.

Despite of the fact that it is not clear for what reason Samsung has gone straight into the agreement with MediaTek because so far Samsung handsets with MediaTek processors have never come out yet. It appears that Samsung needs to outsource the manufacturing of cheaper processors. The cheaper device from Samsung are now powered by Samsung’s own Exynos or processor from Qualcomm. On the partnership between Samsung and Qualcomm, there have been speculations that Samsung might like to lower the dependency on Qualcomm.

In addition, the contract also offers Samsung more space to produce its own Exynos processors for high-end future smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 a cheap 10-core smartphone

Xiaomi has introduced their newest addition to their Redmi Note collection and since it is Xiaomi - obviously its low price.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a 5.5-inch handset with 10-core Helio X20 processor supports by a 3GB of RAM, full HD screen, a choice of 16 and 64GB internal storage that can be expand via microSD card slot, a 13 megapixel for main camera, 5megapixel front facing, fingerprint scanner and a huge 4,100mAh battery.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a metal, unibody design with a bit curved glass edges, and while it does not crack any new ground, it looks just as good as any other leading that released this year.

The Redmi Note 4 has approximately the same set of specs as the Pro, however it is much cheaper, priced at $132 for 16GB and $180 for 64GB version. 

This new handset runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 Android Marshmallow-based firmware, which began rolling out to newer Xiaomi handsets a few days ago, furthermore it comes with three colors; dark grey, gold, and silver.
